Rahul is cofounder and director of programs at Institute of Product Leadership, a global business school for technology and product innovators.
He is a certified Lean Launchpad Educator and frequently mentors startup teams on value proposition design and business models working with corporate accelerators and incubators.
He is regularly invited as guest speaker at Pepperdine University on the topic of marketing and commercializing innovation. He is also a keynote speaker and loves to speak and meet people at Product Camps.
Product Management & Engineering Experience
Rahul has over 25 years experience in the high tech industry in engineering and product management roles.
Most recently, Rahul served as Vice President of Product Management at McAfee, Inc. (acquired by Intel), responsible for McAfee Global Threat Intelligence, a portfolio of core security technologies for systems security, network security, security research and services. He led the development and launch of the industry’s first cloud-enabled Anti-Virus. He also led McAfee’s award winning email and web security product portfolio with successful strategy planning, roadmap execution and P&L management.
Prior to that, Rahul did the startup tour of duty and led product management at FaceTime Communications (now Actiance), a pioneer in compliance, management and security for Instant Messaging, P2P, and real-time communications. At FaceTime, Rahul launched new product innovations that helped turn the company around from a failing dot-com startup to an enterprise solution provider.
Rahul started his career in engineering at Tata Motors (Management Information Services Division), in India, and subsequently in the US, designed and developed large scale transaction processing systems and SaaS applications at MasterCard International, Union Pacific Railroad, and Ameren Energy.
